The range of
F10®
Reptile Disinfectants
are based on the core actives of the
F10®
range. They are proven effective
against all known types of pathogen - including
those bacteria (e.g. Salmonella, E. coli, Pseudomaonas, Pasturella and other
enterobacteria), viruses, fungi and spores
that specifically affect reptiles - and at appropriate concentrations (1:20) the
F10®CL can be also be used for the environmental control of the protozoal oocysts of cryptosporidium, coccidia and
giardia.
At working dilutions they are non-corrosive, non-tainting and non-irritating, are chlorine- and aldehyde-free, and can be used in the presence of reptiles.
They won't damage equipment, and can be left to air dry for a more effective and time-efficient disinfection process.
There are two products in the range, detailed below.
A concentrated disinfectant, which achieves a broad spectrum kill of micro-organisms which may be
potentially harmful
to reptile species.
It is an excellent product for effectively achieving a high level of biosecurity. When used at recommended concentrations it is safe to use in presence of animals.
Available in 1 litre bottles.
Use
biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
Ready-to-use, diluted F10®CL Reptile Disinfectant, pre-diluted to a 1:50 concentration.
It offers the same broad spectrum kill of potentially harmful micro-organisms as the F10®CL, and with the same level of safety.
Available in a 1 litre bottle with a trigger spray or as a 1 litre refill.
Use
biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.
Note - The products should be used on surfaces which are already 'clean', but need disinfecting - i.e. remove any visible dirt from the surface before use. For a ‘one-step’ product for light duty cleaning, where a detergent is needed, use F10®CLXD Veterinary Disinfectant Cleanser. For the removal of biofilms, use F919SC Degreaser before disinfecting.
These dilution rates mean that F10® is one of the most cost-effective disinfectant ranges on the market.
Note that the Ready to Use is diluted at 1:50 - therefore if a stronger solution (i.e. 1:25 or 1:20) is required it would be necessary to create a solution by diluting
F10®CL.
* 1:50 is recommended for efficiency against most pathogens. If more resistant viruses are known to be present, use at 1:25 (40ml/litre). For the environmental control of the protozoal oocysts of cryptosporidium, coccidia and giardia use at 1:20 (50ml in 1 litre). The Ready to Use is pre-diluted at 1:50, so is not suitable when 1:25 or 1:20 is required. For general disinfection use at 1:100 (10ml/litre).
The same disinfecting properties as F10®CL, but in a more concentrated form (1litre SC is the equivalent of 5 litres of CL)
The same disinfecting properties as
F10®CL but with an added cleaning detergent
Biodegradable, single-use wipes impregnated with
F10®SC for instant clean up and disinfection
Whichever you are more comfortable using, the resulting disinfection performance will be the same. Ready to Use has the convenience of being pre-diluted, so can be used immediately and is at a recommended dilution. Buying the concentrated CL, and diluting it yourself, is more cost effective, and in some instances a different dilution rate may be required - the Ready to Use is the equivalent of F10CL diluted at 1:50 - so having the concentrate gives greater flexibility.
