What is F10®SCXD used for?

  • Effective cleansing whilst reducing the microbial load
  • Cleaning and disinfection of: floors; walls; tiles; kennels/cages; food and drink bowls; bedding; tables and basins

The recommended dilution rates of F10®SCXD

  • General disinfection at 1:500 (2ml in 1 litre)
  • High level disinfection against bacteria, fungi and most viruses (including coronavirus) at 1:250 (4ml to 1 litre)
  • For use against the most resistant viruses such as Parvovirus or PBFD at 1:125 (8ml in 1 litre)

These dilution rates mean that F10® is one of the most cost-effective disinfectant ranges on the market.

How to use F10®SCXD

  • Clear away any debris, and rinse with water
  • Add the required amount of F10®SCXD to 1 litre of water - i.e. to create a dilution rate of 1:250 add 4ml*
  • Spray or wash the surfaces/object using the solution
  • Due to the cleaning detergent contained in F10®SCXD, any food bowls or instruments that are to come in close contact with animals should be rinsed with clean water to ensure no soap residue is left
  • Once cleaned, spraying with F10®SC or F10® CL solution, and then allowing to air dry, will ensure continued disinfection

* 1:250 is recommended for efficiency against most pathogens. If more resistant viruses are known to be present, use at 1:125 (8ml/litre). For general disinfection use at 1:500 (2ml/litre).

What's the difference between F10®SCXD and F10®SC?

F10®SCXD is a disinfectant cleanser, and the added detergent means you can clean and disinfect in a single step. F10®SC is just a disinfectant.

F10®SCXD helps by removing the organic matter allowing the disinfectant to act against the pathogens with less interference. F10®SC works better on clean surfaces, but has the advantage that it can be left to air dry without leaving a soapy residue.

There are therefore situations where F10®SCXD or F10®SC may be more appropriate than the other for the task you are undertaking. More information is available in the adjacent video - if it is not displayed please enable cookies, or watch the video on YouTube.

Which should I choose? SCXD or clxd?

Whichever you are more comfortable using, the resulting disinfection performance will be the same. Some feel the CLXD is better for them as you need to be less precise with the measuring (for high level disinfection you would use 20ml in 1 litre of water, whereas you would only use 4ml of SCXD in 1 litre of water). Whereas others prefer the smaller bottle of the SCXD.
